Luís Gonzalo Gómez

Luís Gonzalo Gómez is Associate Senior Advisor at SDCompass. He is responsible for business valuation, project evaluation, and financial modeling works for renewable energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects in Latin America.

He has over 18 years of experience in Corporate Finance and M&A. He has been Corporate Finance Manager at KPMG advisory and Senior Associate Consultant in M&A for investment banking firm Grant Thornton in Colombia.

He has assessed, advised and performed valuation for more than 200 businesses and projects. He was Finance Director for Latin America of the GIC Group, a company providing financial and investment banking advisory for agricultural businesses. He has also served as consultant for the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota, USAID MIDAS Program, Mi Plata S.A and Alianza Team.

He has been a teacher in financial planning and evaluation of projects of the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería. He is a Civil Engineer of the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería, with a certificate in Financial Management and a Specialization in Business Management. He lives in Vienna – Austria.
